I recently had the chance to speak with ESPN’s NBA Insider, Chris Broussard last week. Not only did we talk about the world of the NBA, we also hit on his time here in Cleveland and his football career. A great interview that lasts over 30 minutes!
Some highlights from the interview:
-Went to Holy Name High School, which is located near Cleveland, Ohio
-Broke the collarbone of former Green Bay Packer Dorsey Levens while playing in middle school
-Had dreams of going to USC and being the next great running back
-Doesn’t believe Amar’e Stoudemire will be traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers
-Thinks LeBron James will stay in Cleveland (70% he does)
-More likely the Cavaliers move Zydrunas Ilgauskas than J.J. Hickson before the trading deadline
-Antawn Jamison fits right in with the Cavaliers
-NBA Finals Prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers-L.A. Lakers (leaning more towards Cavs winning the title in six game series)
And more importantly, he believes the “Akron Hammer” nickname for LeBron James (created by Michelle Beadle of ESPN’s SportsNation) is weak. Thank you for joining the “Anti-Akron Hammer Crusade” Chris.
