The NBA has gone soft. Antawn Jamison just proved that point saying he "hopes LeBron gets a championship" down in Miami.
Since LeBron James has announced he was signing with the Miami Heat, a lot of people not only in Cleveland but around the country have expressed their anger and hate towards the “King”. But one of his former teammates is happy for LeBron.
Current Cleveland Cavaliers forward Antawn Jamison recently told a TMZ photographer “I’m happy for him. I hope he gets a championship.”
What?!? Hopes he gets a championship? Are we not in the same league? Are you not competing for the same goal and prize? But yet you are wishing another player on another team you hope he gets a championship.
Granted, Jamison is stuck with the Cavaliers after being basically a rental player to win a title last year, but this is not the mentality I want on the Cavaliers.
You think Michael Jordan or Larry Bird hoped Magic Johnson gets a championship? Hell no. I miss the old days where players hated each other.

We know at least one Cavalier who will be giving it his all next season. (The guy on the right)
“Boobie” Gibson wrote a letter to Cleveland Cavalier fans today on his website. Gibson is the second Cavalier to express themselves after LeBron James deserted the team Thursday by signing with the Miami Heat. Cavaliers guard Mo Williams talked about his feelings on his Twitter account after the announcement Thursday night.
What Up World,
This Message is Directly for the fans of Cleveland from your adopted son, The one and only Boobie G. As you know i was born and raised in Houston, TX. Never once stayed outside the state for more than two weeks and the time I did, that was for basketball. But after two years of college at the University of Texas I decided to make the jump. You can just imagine how fast my mind was racing going to a city so many miles out of my comfort zone not knowing one single person. But I thank God it was Cleveland! Because From day one the city embraced me and made me feel like I was home. My Second HOME. And as time went on I began to see why we connected. Cleveland is a never die city, city of loyalty, hard-workers, passion, desire, and toughness. A lot of the same characteristics I have in me and that inspired me. So I made a promise to myself that every day I stepped foot on that basketball court I would show the world what Cleveland was all about. Leaving everything i had on the court. So no matter what obstacle was placed in front of me, I would bust right through it. No matter how high, I would get over it. Or how wide I would get around it. N I hope I did that and will continue to do that. I said that to say, I know right now emotions are high, and people are confused about the way things went down. But I’m here to say DO NOT FORGET THAT WE STILL HERE. and WE GONE GRIND!!!! The Cavaliers haven’t went anywhere, just lost a piece. Everything in life happens for a reason, Some which we dont understand and never will. Somethings we cant control, But the thing we can control is our passion and our love for city of Cleveland and state of OHIO. And that every single night we take that we floor We Will represent. Blood SweAT and Tears. We will go hard. Just like you. From the bottom to the top, this organization is committed to winning and we wont stop now….. Cant stop now. I LOVE you. We Love YOU. And together We gone make it HAppen. O H I O. Hang in there.
As for me on another note, I’m in LA working on my game so that i may be a key part of this movement next season. The family is doing great. MY wife to be is in the studio every day and night trying to create the best album of her career. Cutting no corners putting her heart in it like never before. With so much new emotion to show the world. My son Daniel Jr. is 4 months now. Everyday he gets bigger. We took him to the doctor yesterday to get two shots. And lil man did not shed a tear. even laughed a little bit. Tough lil dude, something like his daddy LOL. The rest of the fam is back home in Houston working with the DGib Hoops Foundation-Shooting for Success. Helping mainly inner city youth to meet new friends, become more discipline, athletically and academically so that one day they may qualify for scholarships and go on to college and be whatever they want to be. Following a living example. ME… Well thats enough for today, yall stay tuned for my next post and remember if you believe, you can achieve. ANYTHING
Cleveland Stand up
1LUV,
BooBie

Two of these men are unemployed. That a good thing or a bad thing?
In the matter of a month, the Cleveland Cavaliers have gone from being the favorite to be 2010 NBA Champions to a team without a head coach, general manager, and now living with the surrounding speculation that their star player LeBron James might bolt Cleveland this summer.
With the announcement on Friday that Danny Ferry has resigned from his general manager post just adds to the circus that is currently settled in on the corner of Huron and Ontario at Quicken Loans Arena. (more…)

Sports Illustrated's May 17th Cover with Shaquille O'Neal. SI feature story written by Chris Ballard.
The cover story of this week’s Sports Illustrated. SI Senior Writer Chris Ballard focuses on the changed persona and player that came to Cleveland during the off-season. I had the chance to interview Chris about his article and the interview was played on May 15th’s DSS. Below is a look into the article if you haven’t read it yet.
Ballard looks at a couple of the factors that have gone in to Shaq’s metamorphosis since arriving in Cleveland. Once regarded by his critics as lazy and not living up to his potential, Shaq is losing weight.
Ballard writes: “You stare at the plastic bottle. That couldn’t be…could it? ‘Yup, V8,’ O’Neal says, his voice in a low rumble. Really? V8? This is not the drink of the Baddest Man on the Planet, an icon with championships to win and nightclubs to plunder and a world to cradle in his wrinkled brown palms. Yet here he is, a man who used to dine on 48-ounce steaks and wash them down with 24-ounce steaks, cradling this tiny vessel of vegetable pulp.”
Furthermore, Ballard describes how O’Neal has been used relatively infrequently during the playoffs and has looked either 28 or48 during his playing time. But, through all of this, O’Neal has not lost sight of his original goal when coming to Cleveland: provide the King with a Ring.
Chris and I also discussed LeBron James and his awful performance in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. Also discussed Shaq’s future, his time in Cleveland, where LeBron might end up next year, and also other NBA news.

I may not be the biggest fan of LeBron James (because of this), but he is slowly winning me back over. And I may be strickly against wearing anything with LeBron James on it, I may (no, I will) make an exception for this shirt.
