IAN EAGLE can do it all. He calls NFL games on CBS. He announces New Jersey Nets games for the YES Network. He even has his own Sports Broadcasting School. He never met a game he couldn’t announce.
I spoke with him on a lot of topics. The Cleveland Cavaliers, the state of the NBA Slam Dunk contest, LeBron James, the New Jersey Nets, the Cleveland Browns, Mike Holmgren, and some of his favorite moments while announcing.

Some highlights from the interview:
“Do Cleveland Browns fans blame me for their dismal seasons?”
“The NBA will seriously consider getting rid of the Slam Dunk contest.”

With Tom Heckert in town, is Eric Mangini out as head coach in Cleveland?
With only one hour until Mike Holmgren’s first live press conference with the media, rumors are flying around Cleveland about the fate of Cleveland Browns head coach, Eric Mangini. But one story could seal his fate later on today.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Philadelphia Eagles GM, Tom Heckert will be in Cleveland tomorrow interviewing for the Cleveland Browns general manager position. What makes his story so interesting is that the Browns were interested in Heckert last year, but didn’t want to come to Cleveland because of Mangini. As a side note, Heckert has the same agent as Holmgren.
Does this mean Mangini is on his way out of Cleveland? Or is Holmgren the ultimate mediator?
