While it seemed like the Cleveland Cavaliers were about to let the Boston Celtics and Rajon Rondo run away with a victory, LeBron James stepped in and made sure that was not the case.

The Cavaliers (45-14) held the Celtics to only 32 points in the second half and scored 35 points themselves in the fourth as they beat the Celtics in Boston 108-88 Thursday night.

LeBron James had 36 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, Mo Williams scored 14 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, including four 3-pointers to put away Boston for good.

In a game that Cleveland State coach Gary Waters called “men playing against boys”, the Vikings couldn’t climb back from an early deflict against the Detroit Titans, as they lose 65-54 in Cleveland Thursday night.

Cleveland State (15-15, 9-8 Horizon League) entered the game in fifth place in the conference standings, two games ahead of the Titans.

VIDEO: My New Favorite Program: “The Mo Williams Show”

Posted By Glenn S. Moore on Thursday, February 25th, 2010, 4:57 pm

This is the first installment of “The Mo Williams Show”, with Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams as your host. This could be my new favorite program to watch. From my experiences talking with Mo and just seeing how he acts around the team in the locker room, this will be a laugh-out-loud comedy that all Cavs fans need to watch.

His first guest is fellow Cavalier, Jamario Moon. Mo asks him some tough questions in a game of “This or That?”. Including: Steak or lobster? Joe Tait or Fred McLeod? LA or NYC? and many more. Check it out.

Buckeyes Escape Happy Valley With 75-67 Win Over Penn State

Nothing seems to stop Ohio State’s Evan Turner. Not even a cold start.

Turner overcame shooting 1-for-7 in the first half, and scored eight straight points for the Buckeyes (22-7, 12-4 Big Ten) after the Nittany Lions of Penn State had cut a 17-point lead to two with 5:15 left. The Buckeyes then cruised to a 75-67 win in Happy Valley.

“When you start making points, you start getting more confident about it and that was it,” Turner said about his cold start. “I felt like the shots I missed should have gone in and it was no problem.”

David Lighty scored 18, including an open 3 from the left wing that put the Buckeyes up 49-32 with 13:50 left before Penn State answered with three straight 3s.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took a long sigh of relief after their unimpressive 105 – 95 win over the visiting New Orleans Hornets Tuesday night. But while the victory snapped the Cavaliers three game losing streak, this team has a long way to go to where they need to be.

“We’re definitely not where we want to be right now,” Brown said after the Cavaliers improved to 44-14. “Everybody feels it. We’ve got to fight through it. It’s going to be a nice mental challenge for us. It’s going to be a nice physical challenge for us to get to where we need to be in order to win games at a high level, but I’m looking forward to the challenge and I think everybody in that locker room hopefully is, too, because we’re all competitors.”

WWE’s Undertaker Caught On Fire During Tonight’s Pay-Per-View

Posted By Glenn S. Moore on Monday, February 22nd, 2010, 2:04 am

source: PWInsider.com

World Wrestling Entertainment’s superstar the “Undertaker” suffered burns to his chest as a result of a pyrotechnic malfunction during his entrance when flames reached and burned his jacket as he made his way ringside for his match at tonight’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Upon catching on fire, he immediately ripped off his coat and sprinted towards the ring. He then doused himself with bottles of water before and during his scheduled match in the Elimination Chamber.

Company sources indicate Taker was extremely upset about the situation upon returning to the locker room, though officials worked to calm him down.

The Cleveland Cavaliers came charging out of the All-Star break on a thirteen game winning streak. Include two-time All-Star Antawn Jamison to the roster and you would the Cavaliers would cruise to the playoffs. Not so fast my friend.

The Orlando Magic handed the Cavaliers their third straight loss since the All-Star break with a 101-95 win in Orlando Sunday afternoon. In the battle of Supermans, Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard went at each other all day, and though their stats are similar, the outcome went Howard’s way.

IAN EAGLE can do it all. He calls NFL games on CBS. He announces New Jersey Nets games for the YES Network. He even has his own Sports Broadcasting School. He never met a game he couldn’t announce.

I spoke with him on a lot of topics. The Cleveland Cavaliers, the state of the NBA Slam Dunk contest, LeBron James, the New Jersey Nets, the Cleveland Browns, Mike Holmgren, and some of his favorite moments while announcing.

Some highlights from the interview:
“Do Cleveland Browns fans blame me for their dismal seasons?”

Grant Long (NBA.com)

Covering the Cleveland Cavaliers gives me the chance to watch and talk with one of the best NBA players ever in LeBron James. But imagine being GRANT LONG, former NBA player and current Oklahoma City Thunder TV Analyst. He gets to watch one of the up and coming stars in Kevin Durant.

I had the chance to speak with Grant on the Cavaliers, LeBron James, his time in the NBA, the transition from player to broadcaster, Durant, and the Thunder’s season so far.
